Julian McMahon, known for roles in the ‘Fantastic Four’ movies and the TV series ‘Charmed,’ has passed away.

Julian McMahon, the Australian-born actor known for his roles in the “Fantastic Four” films and TV series like “Charmed,” “Nip/Tuck,” and “Profiler,” has passed away at the age of 56, his wife confirmed in a statement.

Kelly McMahon shared that her husband died peacefully this week after battling cancer. Her statement, released through his publicist in Beverly Hills, reflected on his love for life, family, friends, his craft, and his fans. “His greatest wish was to bring joy to as many people as he could,” she said.

McMahon portrayed the iconic villain Dr. Doom in the 2005 Fantastic Four film and its 2007 sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. His television career included prominent roles not only in Charmed, Nip/Tuck, and Profiler, but also in shows like Home and Away, FBI: Most Wanted, and Another World, according to IMDb.

Tributes poured in following the news, including from actress Alyssa Milano, McMahon’s co-star on Charmed. “Julian was more than my TV husband,” she wrote on social media. “He was magic — that smile, that laugh, that talent. He lit up every room, not just with charisma but with kindness, playfulness, and depth.”
