Caitlin Clark selected her Indiana Fever teammate Aliyah Boston with the top pick in Tuesday’s WNBA All-Star Game draft, while Napheesa Collier chose her Unrivaled co-founder Breanna Stewart as her first selection.
Clark earned the No. 1 overall pick after leading the fan vote and had hinted earlier that there was a strong possibility both Boston and Kelsey Mitchell — also from the Fever — would land on her squad. She rounded out her starting five with Sabrina Ionescu (New York), A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas), and Satou Sabally (Phoenix), later adding Mitchell as a reserve.
“I feel good about it. We’re well-balanced, and I really like our starting five — it’s a strong lineup,” Clark said.
Collier completed her starting unit by drafting Allisha Gray (Atlanta), Nneka Ogwumike (Seattle), and standout rookie Paige Bueckers (Dallas).
“We’ve got a dynamic group — scoring threats at every level and a strong point guard,” Collier said.
