Derek Dixon, an actor who appeared in 85 episodes of Tyler Perry’s drama “The Oval,” has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court accusing Perry of using his industry power to sexually assault and harass him while keeping him silent.
The suit, seeking at least $260 million in damages, alleges that Perry exploited his influence by initially offering Dixon professional opportunities — including producing his pilot and casting him — before subjecting him to increasing sexual misconduct and retaliation.
Filed on Friday and first reported by TMZ on Tuesday, the lawsuit claims Perry created a coercive and abusive dynamic under the guise of mentorship and career advancement.
