Hank Hill returns in the revival of King of the Hill, still the same dependable, propane-loving everyman—but the world around him has changed dramatically.
After a 15-year break, Hank is back on screen, struggling to make sense of modern trends like boba tea, rideshare apps, and all-gender bathrooms. “What kind of food is poke?” he asks Peggy, bewildered.
Hank and Peggy have moved back to their hometown of Arlen, Texas, only to find it’s not quite the place they remember. In the premiere episode, Peggy nervously asks, “Hank, have things changed here more than we thought? Did we make a mistake coming back?”
Hulu is banking on the show’s nostalgic charm and smart writing, bringing back much of the original creative team and voice cast. The first 10 new episodes debut Monday.
