“House panel subpoenas Epstein documents and Clinton depositions.”

The House Oversight Committee has issued a subpoena to the Department of Justice for documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation and is requesting depositions from Bill and Hillary Clinton, as well as several former high-ranking law enforcement officials. The move is part of a broader congressional inquiry that some lawmakers believe could uncover ties to former President Donald Trump and other past officials.

Led by Republicans, the committee issued formal deposition requests to former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and eight former top law enforcement personnel.

Despite Congress being in recess for the month, the demand for answers surrounding Epstein’s case remains strong. While Trump has denied prior knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities and has distanced himself from their former association, lawmakers from both parties—and many within Trump’s own political base—continue to push for greater transparency, particularly regarding the DOJ’s decision not to fully disclose the investigation’s findings.

In letters to Attorney General Pam Bondi and the individuals subpoenaed, Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer emphasized the intense public interest surrounding the cases of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
