Trump Turns on Supporters Over Epstein Controversy, Labels Them ‘Weaklings’ for Believing in ‘Hoax’
Former President Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on some of his own followers, expressing frustration over growing criticism of how his administration handled the much-publicized Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Trump now dismisses the entire matter as a “hoax.”
In a fiery post on Truth Social Wednesday, Trump slammed what he called the “Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” accusing former supporters of being gullible: “My PAST supporters have fallen for this bull—- hook, line, and sinker. They’ve learned nothing and never will — even after being duped by the Lunatic Left for eight years.”
Trump didn’t hold back, labeling those who bought into the controversy as “weaklings” and suggesting they were inadvertently helping Democrats. “Let them keep doing the Democrats’ bidding. Don’t bother praising our historic achievements — I don’t want their support anymore. Thanks for your attention,” he added.
The outburst signals a sharp rift between Trump and parts of his conservative base, many of whom had demanded more transparency and accountability related to Epstein’s ties and alleged client list. The Justice Department recently announced that no such list exists and no further documents would be released, contradicting earlier promises that had fueled speculation among right-wing influencers and conspiracy theorists.
The divide marks one of Trump’s most forceful rejections of his loyal supporters to date.
